About the event

Welcome to Rewilding Surf Retreats!  This retreat is all about connecting to yourself and others, through surfing, breathwork, yoga & mindfullness.

The intention is to help each other become more in tune with our emotional selves, and to create a place where it is ok to experience any and all emotions in a loving & supportive manner.

Surfing:

Of course the connectedness and pure extacy of surfing is to be expected, but we also encourage allowing to own our  so called 'darker' percieved emotions, such as sadness, grief, anger, frustration and so on. It is important to clarify there is a big difference between owning our emotions, and projecting them onto others (e.g. being angry at someone, which will not be tolerated). The surf lesson will begin with a 10 minute mediation, followed by going around the circle to ask if anyone wants to share how they are feeling, and then we will go into the actual surf lesson. We will of course cover a wide range of surfing levels (splitting into groups if abilities are different) and we encourage anyone to join wether a total beginner or a pro surfer!

Breathwork:

At Rewilding, we want to encourage the acceptance & encouragement of each other to just be themselves, and be real with whatever emotions they might be feeling 'good or bad'. In order to help our own transformational processes. This is where the breathwork sessions come into play. There are many ways in which you can use breathwork, and I have tried a wide range of them, and what resonated with me by far the most was when using it to access our deeper selves, the stuff we have pushed way down. These kinds of sessions can range from anything from a tingling euphoric feeling, to being tranformed to when were a small child, and everything in between and around. How deep you go is totally up to you and how far you wish to go, and you can always come out of it by altering your breath.

Yoga:

As I am sure most if not all have experienced, yoga is a beautful way to become connected &  in tune with what is going on in your body, giving it love and support through exercise, stretching mindfullness & relaxation.
